The human experience is one of inquiry and exploration, exchange and migration, and with the pace of todays urbanisation and globalisation, this has never been felt more than now. Process + Place is an exchange exhibition between Australia and China that explores the role of an artist in these ever changing conditions.
The Chinese phrase 時移世易shí yí shì yì
(Yi) describes such a process over time and space.
Curated by China Art Projects, Process + Place brings together 6 Australian artists, Kate Anderson, Carmel Burns, Vicki Grace, Bernadette Olle, Tony Scott, and Tony Smibert in a series of international exhibitions. Held in Beijing, Hong Kong, and Sydney they mark the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Australia and China.
