City of Dreams presents contemporary and historic landmark buildings associated with authority. City of Dreams has associative architectural/metropolis/utopia/dystopia references. City of Dreams is intended as ironic and ambivalent – it reflects on the underlying dualities and ambivalences that influence decisions and actions. The exhibition presents conflicting notions of continuity/rupture, stability/collapse/suspension, preservation/transience, time/materiality. City of Dreams is not simply a window on the world, it is a world within itself.
